Foreign suppliers fail to achieve higher HRC prices in Europe

Foreign suppliers continue to test the European HRC market with higher prices, without any success so far though. Indian suppliers increased HRC offer prices to Italy by EUR 5-10/t to around EUR 670/t CFR, April-May shipment, over the week, but the new levels were not accepted by customers. A deal with an Indian producer was heard at EUR 640/t CFR this week.
