Western Canada's industries that benefit from automation are significantly different from Eastern Canada's large scale automation in manufacturing and the automotive industry. In Western Canada, there is no large industry to support large scale automation compared to the automotive industry. Because of this, production volume for repetitive parts is significantly smaller, ranging from 1 or 2 parts to 10, 20 maybe 100 parts. Small production runs result in automation being very challenging due to continuous programming changes and fixturing costs. Regardless, various industries in Western Canada can benefit from automation. BP Automation has identified and adapted innovative ways to tackle these issues over the past 20 years.
