Crude futures inch down ahead of US inventory data

New York-Crude futures edged down Tuesday as the bearish consequences of a rising dollar were offset partly by ongoing supply disruptions in Nigeria and Libya. NYMEX August crude settled 59 cents lower at $44.65/b. ICE September Brent settled 30 cents lower at $46.66/b. NYMEX August ULSD ticked up 63 points to settle at $1.3841/gal, recovering from Monday when the front-month contract sank to an intraday low not seen in more than two months. NYMEX August RBOB settled down 1.15 cents at $1.3757/gal.
