Germany’s BASF rules out 2014 Libyan output gain

London-Germany’s BASF, owner of oil producer Wintershall, does not expect its Libyan crude production to rise before the end of 2014 from current levels of some 35,000 b/d as the situation on the ground in the North African country remains unclear. A Wintershall spokesman Monday cited BASF finance chief Hans-Ulrich Engel as saying that the situation on the ground in Libya remained difficult to evaluate.
