Anchorage, Alaska—An Alaska US District Court is weighing a request from Alaska native villagers for a temporary restraining order to stop ConocoPhillips’ work on its new CD-5 project near the Alpine oil field on the North Slope. Judge Sharon Gleason accepted briefs Monday from the villagers, ConocoPhillips, the federal government and other parties, but has not indicated when she may rule.
