Nigeria's NNPC eyes more divested assets

Lagos-Nigerian's state-owned NNPC is prepared to take over and operate more assets in Nigeria sold off by foreign oil companies as it looks to grow its domestic upstream business. NNPC, through its upstream subsidiary NPDC, has already taken over operator- ship of four oil blocks sold by Shell since 2010, while US-based major Chevron has also announced plans to sell five Nigerian shallow-water oil blocks.
