Nigeria’s NNPC expects oil production rise

London—Nigeria’s crude oil and condensate production is set to rise as the country begins to “win the war” against oil theft and pipeline vandalism, said state-owned National Nigerian Petroleum Corp. (NNPC). Production is expected to increase to 2.5 million b/d by mid-August and should be maintained at a level of at least 2.55 million b/d for the rest of 2013, NNPC said. Nigeria’s current output is 2.4 million b/d, up from an average of just 2.1 million b/d for the year so far.
