Algeria set to reveal details of upcoming bid round

Brussels—Algeria will reveal on November 5-6 more details about blocks available for new exploration licenses in bidding rounds expected to take place before the end of this year, an adviser to the energy and mining ministry told Platts. Ahmed Mecheraoui, speaking to Platts on the sidelines of a debate on hydrocarbons in Algeria, said details would be announced in a presentation to the industry in London at which Algeria would also highlight recent changes to exploration and production laws aimed at boosting investment.
