China Aviation Oil buoyed by jet demand

Singapore—Singapore-listed China Aviation Oil posted a record high quarterly net profit in the first quarter of 2013 on the back of healthy growth in jet fuel demand and aviation traffic in the country. China’s monopoly jet fuel importer saw its supply and trading volume in the first quarter increase 18.2% year-on-year to 2.6 million mt, while trading volume of other oil products almost doubled to 1.2 million mt, the company said April 26.
