US crude July production hits 25-year high

Washington—US crude oil production in July rose 17.4% year on year to an average of nearly 7.5 million b/d—the highest July level in 25 years, the American Petroleum Institute said Thursday. Domestic production was above 7 million b/d for the ninth consecutive month and represented the highest output for any month in 22 years, the API said in its monthly statistical report.
