Calgary-Canadian railroads have lost a sub- stantial part of their crude-by-rail business in the second quarter, as new pipeline takeaway gets built from Western Canada and a narrowing spread between Western Canadian Select and WTI does little to attract new shipment orders. Movement of crudes-particularly the heavy grades-handled by Canadian Pacific Rail were down 24%, compared with the same period in 2014, COO Keith Creel said Tuesday on an earnings webcast.
