Sydney—Australia’s transport fuel security is at risk should there be any significant disruption to its shipping supply lines, according to a new report commissioned by the National Roads & Motorists Association. The report found that Australia is the only one of 75 countries reviewed that relies solely on market forces to ensure secure access to transport fuels and is “critically exposed” to disruptions in supply due to natural disasters, accident, commercial failure, or acts of terror or war.
