Houston-The US rig count was 737 for the week ended December 4, down by 7 from the prior week, according to Baker Hughes. The latest count includes 712 land and 25 offshore, with 192 assigned to gas, 545 to oil and 0 to miscellaneous drilling. The rigs were drilling 104 vertical, 64 directional and 569 horizontal wells.
