London oil talks focus on price volatility

London-Leading oil producing and consuming countries December 19 agreed at talks in London to work together to lessen the damaging impact of "extreme" oil price volatility, and to guarantee future oil supplies at an affordable price when global demand recovers. The pledges were the main conclusions of a meeting of more than 30 countries organized by UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown as a follow-up to talks convened in Jeddah in June by Saudi Arabian King Abdullah as oil prices soared to all-time highs.
