UAE president sees fiscal crisis influencing oil prices

Dubai-In a wide-ranging and rare interview, UAE President Sheikh Khalifa al-Nahyan was quoted November 26 as saying that oil price volatility was nothing new, though he expected the financial crisis to influence oil prices further in the months ahead. "Fluctuations and shocks in the oil market are nothing new and we have dealt with these in the past, with shocks that saw prices fall to levels far lower than they are now," Sheikh Khalifa told Egypt's al-Ahram newspaper.
