YPF, the Argentinean affiliate of Spain's Repsol YPF, has found more shale oil in southern Argentina's Neuquen province. The find supports an emerging consensus that the region holds great potential for unconventional oil and gas production. On Wednesday YPF announced that its Bajada de Anelo X-2 exploration well had produced more than 250 barrels per day of oil from the Neuquen Basin's Vaca Muerta shale formation.
