US Apache has sanctioned the develop-ment of the Balnaves oil field in productionlicense WA-49-L offshore Western Australia.First production from the US$438 milliondevelopment is scheduled in 2014, withgross peak output of around 30,000 b/d. Es-timated gross recoverable resources are putat 17 million bbl of oil and 30 Bcf of gas.
