Royal Dutch Shell has finalized the sale of a 30% stake in Block OML 24 to Nigerian independent Newcross Exploration and Production -- one of four blocks the supermajor's Nigerian subsidiary, Shell Petroleum Development Co., put on the market last year, Shell said Thursday. The transaction, valued at $600 million, has received all necessary government approvals, and the asset has been assigned to the new owner. Total and Eni have also assigned their respective 10% and 5% interests on the lease to Newcross.
