Atlantic met coal prices saw high-vol A lead gains Tuesday, with strong rises in Asia-Pacific benchmarks adding support. High-vol A with high CSR and low sulfur and ash was heard indicatively offered for a few holds at around 2-3% over Platts high-vol A index, for March exports shipment. The extent of Vale’s iron ore supply disruption for steel mill operations in Europe and South America remained a major talking point in the market.
