摘要

It is shown that new HP-lines of HL-corn have a powerful photosynthetic apparatus, high nitrate reductase activity (NRA) in leaves, high grain productivity potential under favourable conditions (about 100 g/plant), and increased capability for retaining it under conditions of the southern-type drought of medium intensity. They are significantly superior to standard lines of HL-corn in the protein content of grain and agronomical drought resistance. Drought resistance of the new lines is achieved by the increased evaporation ability of leaves, high resistance to overheating and dehydration (desiccation), synchronous blooming of generative organs.
