The peculiarities of fragmentation of inbred maize lines mesophyll chloroplasts in relation with properties of their ultrastructure

The amount of light fragments (fractions 70 000 g and 100 000 g) at digitonin fragmentation of mesophyll chloroplasts of maize inbred lines L 346 and F 7 has been investigated. It is shown that there are differences in this index between the investigated lines as well as between maize and pea chloroplasts. The conclusion is made that it is caused by peculiarities of chloroplasts ultrastructure.
