The steel sector is facing perhaps its worst economic crisis in decades, but the "gray out" that stalked the industry even in boom times is still of great concern, according to Arcelor-Mittal USA Inc.'s top executive. "We've got aging Baby Boomers like myself that are going to retire. Then you've got a little baby bust in there. And when we (Boomers) all retire, who is going to replace us? There is significant challenge for managers," Michael Rippey, president and chief executive officer, told AMM on the sidelines of the Metals Service Center Institute's Tubular Conference in Indian Wells, Calif.
