While Bill and Kate are on the farm, Simon King will be reporting from Shetland. His guide is cameraman CHARLIE HAMILTON JAMES, who's fallen in love with the wild islands. MOST PEOPLE'S IMAGE of Shetland is a barren, windswept rock, stuck far out in the north Atlantic with a few hardy crofters clinging to it. It's a fairly accurate view. These islands are barren and windswept and there are very few trees. In winter, the sun barely makes an appearance and if s almost always windy and raining. It is araw, harsh place that blows away all your cobwebs and lets you know you're alive. It is wild and isolated - and perhaps this is why, to me, it is the most beautiful place on Earth.
