A comparative analysis is performed of sintering ability of theultradisperse powders of tetragonal zirconia containing singlecrystal particles and powders of the samecomposition containing largesize polycrystal particles obtained byspray pyrolysis. It is shown that despite the large size of theparticles the efficiency of sintering for both powders appearedcomparable whereas the densityobserved at the final stage of sinteringexceeds the density of the material sintered from ultradispersesingle crystal powders.
