It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to the May/June issue of American Pharmaceutical Review. The pharmaceutical scientist is certain to benefit from the experiences shared by the diverse contributors to this issue. By offering their direct user perspectives on best practices and applications, our authors play an important role in facilitating the expansion of key concepts in our field. Each piece of editorial is supported by first-hand experience, wherein authors identify ways to address specific challenges or opportunities. This issue features a robust microbiology section, including an article confronting automated microbial identification across different pharmacopoeias, and another evaluating an online water bioburden analyzer (OWBA) as a risk reduction tool.
