摘要

Various kinds of perovskites are overviewed in the first half of this article. The relations among the charge order, orbital order and spin structures are discussed for representative perovskites. Furthermore, significant effects of strains induced by the lattice mismatch on the magnetic properties are referred from practical viewpoint. Next, multiferroic properties are associated with the antiferromagnetic states with the spiral spin structure. In the last half, several kinds of antiferromagnetic compounds interested in fundamental research of magnetism are reviewed from practical viewpoints for half-metallic properties, orbital entropy change and thermoelectric properties.
