Preparation of a Nanocomposite Photocatalyst and its Application in Dye Wastewater Treatment

摘要

In this paper, petaloid Bi2WO6 was synthesized via a facile template-free hydrothermal method, then Zn-Bi2WO6 photocatalyst was prepared through the same method by using the as-prepared Bi2WO6 and Zn(NO3)(2)center dot 6H(2)O. The Zn-Bi2WO6 photocatalyst was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The concentration of dye wastewater, reaction time, pH value and dosage of photocatalyst were studied, and the optimal photocatalytic degradation conditions were obtained. Under the optimal conditions, the effect for photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B solution was also studied, and the removal rate of Rhodamine B (10(-5) mol/L) reached 97%. The removal rate was maintained a high level in acidic and neutral media, which would effectively expand the scope of its potential application.
