Successful Integration of an ImmediateLoad Full Arch Prosthesis in 102-Year-Old Patient: Case Report With Unusual Medical and Dental Considerations

The anticipation of extended life expectancy in our elderly patient population has become a reality according to actual statistics from the Centers for Disease Control.1 As this group lives longer, their dental needs and expectations of an acceptable lifestyle will also become more critical. Implant dentistry, especially in the realm of immediate loading possibilities, will have an increasing potential application in this age group, despite the natural resistance to the acceptance of treatment owing to the patient's, and sometimes dentist's, perception of time remaining to use these dental benefits.The present case report, although exceptional in terms of patient age, might serve to create a foundation for treatment planning considerations in patients with this mind set.
