Eni to fast-track .2 Bn bbl Congo giant

Eni is planning a phased fast-track development of its shallow water pre-salt discovery off Congo Brazzaville which could contain up to 2 Bn bbl of oil. The Nene Marine find was quietly drilled in the Marine XII block late last year (see AOG 28 February 2013). Eni completed an appraisal well and in mid-year put reserves at 600m bbl of oil and 700 Bcf of gas.
