Afren tries to shrug off past with new Nigeria projects

Afren is quickly processing new development projects and exploration off Nigeria as it tries to put the controversy over its sacked top management behind it. The company has yet to find new bosses following the sackings for alleged corruption but this morning highlighted its plans for the future. The final investment decision has now been made for the shallow water Okoro Further Field development. The company has been producing from the Okoro field in OML 112 to a Bumi Armada FPSO for several years, it is now to take in reserves from the more recently discovered 52m bbl Okoro East field.
