Murphy's Azurite fades to nothing

Output from Murphy Oil's troubled deepwater Azurite field off Congo Brazzaville has finally stopped, with the field being abandoned only lour years after first oil. Reservoir problems saw output reach only just over half the expected 40,000 b/d even at its peak and total recovery has been less than 17m bbl, compared to initial estimates of around 70m bbl - forcing the consortium to write off more than US $630m.
