Next year could well be a more optimistic one for exploration in sub-Saharan Africa with a series of high profile wells that could continue the run of high success in the region, according to Wood Mackenzie. The analysts have just completed a new study on exploration for the year ahead and believe that overall global investment will at best match 2016 year's spend of around US $40 Bn, and may yet fall further.
