Shell sets new Bonga SW budget and timetable

Shell has set a deadline of the first half of next year for a final investment decision for the Bonga Southwest project off Nigeria but has also set a budget of US $10 Bn compared to the previous bids which topped $17 Bn. The company is working full speed ahead with the pre-FEED to revise the budget with full engineering set to start in November. It is continuing to work with the final bidders shortlisted from last year's attempt to award the project and does not want to rebid the development.
