摘要

It has nearly been a year since I completed the Lee F. Rogers In-ternational Fellowship in Radiology Journalism. The 4 weeks I spent with the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) team learning about the editorial process was truly enjoyable and educational. However, it did raise a lot of issues surrounding the review of manuscripts, including the quality of reviews submitted and training available for new reviewers [1]. Journals such as Radiology have mentorship program for new reviewers [2]. Although this is an excellent initiative, it is usually difficult match the number of mentors (i.e., experienced reviewers or section editors) to' the number of reviewers to be trained. It may also be difficult to implement such programs outside large academic institutions.
