Andrew Chapple reports on a successful upgrade for the suspension of his road and track Mk 5 GTI Edition 30, one that didn't break the budget and also provided an easy installation... KEY TO IMPROVING the pace of any road car on track is upgrading the suspension, but the Mk 5 Golf GTI was already a high water mark for VW chassis tuning. With the engineers reputedly visiting the UK to ensure that it remained composed on our network of often crumbling roads, it's commendable that - even in standard form - our Project GTI Edition 30 also makes a decent fist of fast-lapping track work.
