Road pricing placed back on the agenda

Ambitious plans to introduce per mile road pricing in London have been welcomed by sector commentators, but they say more work is needed to tackle congestion and emissions challenges in other cities. The capital's Mayor Sadiq Khan launched his new draft transport strategy in June which includes long term proposals to explore a new generation of road user charging alongside investment in walking, cycling and public transport.
