Imerys has acquired some assets from the EDK company,a leading producer of ground calcium carbonates in Brazil.These assets,which include three operating plants and 100 employees,generated annual revenues of BRL 65 million in 2018.With this deal,Imerys deepens its footprint in the South American region and strengthens its product portfolio for the paint and coatings sector.The operation will increase Imerys’revenues in Brazil to about €140 million.The business has already been consolidated into the company's Performance Minerals Americas business area.
