Shaogang Songshan's net loss widened to Yuan 1.95bn in 2012 ($313m), from Yuan 1.14bn in the previous year, due to low steel prices and weak demand. Sales revenue dropped by 15.8% to Yuan 19.3bn. The operating loss was Yuan 1.8bn, compared with one of Yuan 1bn in 2011.
