Shandong spells out steel sector restructuring plan

Shandong provincial government has spelt out detailed plans for structural adjustment of its steel industry, aiming to cut the number of steel makers to five or six by 2015, down from the current 21. According to the policy, the Shandong Steel Group will complete its consolidation with Rizhao Steel and Qingdao Steel by next year. Steel mills in Zibo will be merged into Zhangdian Steel.
