Study on the effectiveness of visual alarm devices used in fire alarm systems installed in industrial facilities

Measurements of light distribution of the visual signaling device were carried out on a lab. stand equipped with a lux meter, goniometer, tripod and mobile mounting frames. Based on measurements of instantaneous values of light intensity generated by the visual signaling device and the duration of light pulses, the effective light intensity and coverage area were detd.
