ACETIC ACID

The article analyses export of acetic acid from Ukraine according to the results of the first ten months of 2002. export of the item constituted approximately 95 ths. tons, while average prices amounted to USD/MT 220. Export of acetic acid exceeded USD 20 mn in terms of financial value. Deliveries of unpacked synthetic acetic acid from Ukraine over the period under review were preferred. These shipments constituted tentatively 95 percent of about 90 ths. tons of the total export. Average prices reached USD/MT 216 herewith. The following three countries top the list of this item importers from Ukraine according to the results of the first ten months of 2002: Turkey, Russian Federation, and Poland.
