摘要

Plagiarism continues to be a prevailing issue in higher education. Since plagiarism degrades the academic integrity of the institution and the field of knowledge of a discipline, it continues to be crucial for educators, and in particular librarians, to incorporate effective instructional strategies that promote a climate of academic responsibility. While students are taught that plagiarism is unethical, through the use of cut and paste technology, poor time management, or neglect, some students succumb to the temptation of copying the work of others. This book addresses the issue of plagiarism from the perspective of deliberate plagiarism. Strittmatter and Bratton express the need to address this category of plagiarism from an ethical framework.
