摘要

The important agro-biological traits of mulberry viz., leaf thickness, moisture content of leaf, total chlorophyll content, photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, moisture retention capacity of excised leaves, protein fiber content of leaf were studied with qualitative traits of silkworm. The multiple correlation analysis showed positive significant correlation with shell weight, shell ratio, denier, silk recovery, raw silk percentage and leaf cocoon ratio. The present study clearly indicated thatimportant agro-biological traits of mulberry leaf have got direct bearing on the qualitative traits of bivoltine silkworm which in turn helps to have good quality silk.
