London branch races ahead

The main summer social event for the London Branch is Ladies Day at Ascot Races. This was enjoyed by a record number of members and their guests this year, with the ladies displaying a fine array of hats. The day began at The Naval Club in London, at nine in the morning. We met for coffee prior to traveling by coach to Ascot, where we arrived just before eleven o'clock to enjoy the usual refreshments whilst lunch was being prepared.
