New and Rare Records of Cosmarium (Desmidiaceae, Zygnematales) from India

摘要

This study is aimed at the documentation and description of different Cosmarium (Desmidiaceae, Zygnematales) taxa from the state of West Bengal. Planktonic samples collected from 5 districts of West Bengal have been represented here. A total of 34 taxa collected over a period of two years from 2015 to 2017 reported in this communication with detailed morphometric analysis and taxonomic enumeration together with microphotographs. We are reportingCosmarium pseudomagnificum and C. denboeri for the first time from India.
