On first sight, Helen Fulcher was not impressed by her now light, bright and beautiful Mt Eden, Auckland home. She was heavily pregnant when she and husband Mark visited the open home six years ago. They were looking for a larger property to replace their Sandringham villa with its tiny patch of grass, to cater for their growing family.This 1920s house was pretty rough, says Helen. "It had been neglected, [there was] mould everywhere - caked into the wood - and very few people were at the open home."
