Cultural diversity.

摘要

Reading the article on coping with different cultures prompted me to examine my communication skills and experiences as a nurse with English as a second language who trained in the UK. I was also encouraged to read more about cultural diversity and communication.Effective communication is central to nursing. Patients are no longer passive recipients of care, but are encouraged to participate actively in decisions about their treatment. Nurses working in the community face the added challenge of collaborating with various professionals and agencies involved in the delivery of care.
