WASTE Trump, Republicans at Odds Over Yucca Mountain

Stalwart to the moribund Yucca Mountain repository project, key House Republicans are at odds with President Donald Trump after he reversed course on the issue earlier this month. On Yucca, at least, Trump is on the same side as Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who otherwise is probably the biggest congressional thorn in his side. Without clarity on the issue from Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell - who has tended to support Yucca except when it was no longer politically expedient - there's little indication that Yucca supporters in the Republican Party are ready to fol- low Trump's lead.
