EPA REPORTS INCREASE IN SRE PETITIONS FOR 2018 RFS

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released updated data on Small Refinery Exemption (SRE) petitions as of April 18, 2019, reporting that there are now 40 pending applications for Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) compliance year 2018, up from 39 as of March 28. For compliance year 2017, 37 SRE applications have been filed. Out of this, 35 applications have been approved, with one declared ineligible or withdrawn and one application still pending.
