Editorial

摘要

This is the fourth and last 2018 issue of the International Journal of Mental Health (IJMH) that I have edited. In this editorial, I address theme issues, using a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis approach; future theme issues can be informed by this analysis, which could further advance their quality and impact. I end with an expression of gratitude to all involved with the IJMH.Strengths of theme issues include their focus on a specific issue or set of issues, providing in-depth scrutiny of a topic or connected topics that allows a relatively comprehensive understanding of what is known and what is not yet known about this subject area. Another strength of theme issues is that they typically present a diversity of current views, portraying areas of expert agreement and disagreement, which helps clarify what requires further inquiry.
